... of the Brazilian Santa Matilde SM 4.1? It was a handbuilt fiberglass sports car, built over the Chevrolet Opala chassis with its inline 6 4.1l engine. Methinks it’s painfully beautiful.

The black one has the correct wheels.

looks good, but the triangular orange lights at the front ruin it for me

They’re actually aftermarket wheels. The only one with the stock rims is the golden one.
But the wheels on the black one seem to fit it better.

It’s part of the visual identity, from their logo.

Well it’s no Justy.
And it gives off Skoda vibes.

Reminds me of a TVR in some respects.

Looks great. Any idea how many they made?

They made only 936. This
page
is trying to catalog all Santa Matildes, with photos. They currently have data about 401 cars, 43% of the total

Love it.
It looks like an old Escort face and Jaguar rear.... on a GM platform.

I’m seeking information about these cars. I’m located in the U.S. and am considering the purchase of a low mileage convertible that has been here and in storage since the 1990's. My biggest concern is parts - and the lack of information available about these cars. If you know of any websites, car clubs, or any other sources of information for the Santa Matilde I’d appreciate whatever you can share. I can be contacted at LostDeere59@hotmail.com. Thanks.
